I just bought an iPad mini for my grandson for Christmas. A friend of mine has had it for a year and used it all the time apparently under a guest account. It appeared to be unlocked. I have spent hours on the phone with Apple. My friend had it a year the original owner is apparently a long distance truck driver and n it her of us have a clue how to contact them. I factory reset so there wouldn’t be any inappconen for my 12 year old grandson. Now the device is activation locked and I’m frustrated. I am a single 50 year old grandmother raising 3 grandsons.
